St Catherine of Siena Catholic Primary School
St Catherine of Siena Catholic Primary School delivers school administration building redevelopment in Melton West, Victoria, designed to support its users through functional, considered and context-responsive architecture.
About
The redevelopment of the Administration Building at St Catherine of Siena Catholic Primary School, Melton West, was a collaborative project between Foursight Architects and the school community, focused on creating a contemporary workplace environment that supports staff wellbeing, collaboration and flexible learning approaches.
The project addressed the need to transform existing staff facilities into a more connected and inclusive workplace, improving communication, planning and collaboration between staff members while enhancing the overall experience for students and the wider school community. The building form and accessibility features were carefully considered to create a welcoming environment that celebrates inclusion and community connection.
The redevelopment involved the refurbishment of ground floor facilities and the addition of a new upper level, providing a modern staff room, improved administration areas, additional staff amenities, a welcoming foyer and a flexible first-floor planning and hot-desking space. The open-plan workplace environment supports a more collaborative approach to teaching and administration, while dedicated support spaces contribute to the ongoing wellbeing of both staff and students.
High ceilings, improved natural ventilation and enhanced access to natural light create a comfortable and inspiring workplace that reflects the school’s commitment to contemporary education, connection and community.
