About
The Terang Ambulance Station was designed as a vital addition to the local health network, strengthening the connection between emergency services and the neighbouring Terang Hospital facilities. The project provides a purpose-built environment that supports the operational needs of paramedics while enhancing access to essential healthcare services within the community.
A key challenge of the project was the steep slope of the site, requiring a considered approach to site planning, accessibility and construction. A series of retaining walls were carefully integrated to accommodate the building platform, creating a safe and functional environment that allows efficient movement around the station.
Despite the challenging topography, the design achieved a balance between functionality and architectural quality. The completed facility provides a practical and accessible workplace for paramedics, supporting emergency response operations while sensitively responding to the surrounding site conditions and community context.
