The Sunshine Ambulance Station was designed as a contemporary industrial-inspired facility that responds to the functional requirements of emergency services while creating a distinctive architectural presence.

The design incorporates robust concrete panel walls, small circular window openings and a translucent polycarbonate garage element, creating a strong material expression that balances durability with natural light. The garage provides a unique visual feature, allowing light to filter through during the day and creating an illuminated presence at night.

Internally, the station provides a practical and efficient environment for paramedics, including amenities, kitchen and breakout areas and dedicated resting quarters. The completed facility delivers a resilient and modern workplace suited to the demands of emergency response operations.
