The St Arnaud Ambulance Station was designed to reflect the character of its regional setting, creating a facility that is both highly functional and responsive to the surrounding environment.

The design adopts a natural country aesthetic through the use of complementary materials and finishes, allowing the building to integrate seamlessly within the local context. A feature recycled brick front wall provides a strong connection to the region’s architectural character while adding warmth, texture and a sense of permanence.

The facility incorporates practical spaces required for emergency response operations, including amenities, kitchen and breakout areas and dedicated resting quarters. The completed station provides a welcoming and durable workplace that supports Ambulance Victoria’s services within the regional community.
